PLATTE VALLEY SARATOGA HEALTH CLINIC
MEMORIAL HOSPITAL OF CARBON COUNTY
Extending the reach of the Memorial Hospital of Carbon County (MHCC) healthcare system into Saratoga, WY, this family practice clinic provides basic healthcare services to the town and surrounding area for the first time.
Currently, area residents travel over 40 minutes away for basic healthcare services. This new clinic will offer accessible primary care, specialty care, and physical therapy services right in town. The project is representative of MHCC’s strategy to provide quality healthcare through local, outpatient clinics, avoiding the costs associated with providing similar services through distant and more expensive hospital facilities. MOA worked closely with MHCC from the very start of this project, including site selection and investigation. Driven by market demand, the team embraced a fast-tracked CM/GC delivery for design and construction, which involved close coordination with the General Contractor and subconsultant team to secure required permitting, determine and design best-value structural and M/E/P systems, and schedule lead times for critical materials and equipment. The resulting clinic facility includes six exam rooms, imaging suite, laboratory, and a room for minor outpatient procedures. MOA’s planning and design of this compact and efficient 5,900-SF building is based on the MHCC’s Rawlins Family Practice Clinic.
