HEALTH PROFESSIONS & SCIENCES BUILDING
RED ROCKS COMMUNITY COLLEGE, ARVADA CAMPUS
Located on the Red Rocks Community College Arvada Campus, the Health Professions & Sciences Building is designed to meet rapidly growing enrollment in healthcare educational programs including nursing, physicians assistant, and medical science.
Bringing the college’s health-professionals programs together into one place, the Health Professions and Sciences Building provides 55,000 SF of new building expansion, along with 12,000 SF of renovated space to meet Red Rocks’ rapidly growing enrollment in their health care programs.
In addition to offering educational and laboratory spaces, the project focuses on developing trends in Project-Based Learning and Interprofessional Education at the college. Unique in comparison to most community colleges, Red Rocks will be expanding their Physician Assistant program, which offers a Master of Medical Science degree as part of the project.
The expanded campus serves as a regional triage center for crisis response and a community resource for continuing education for incumbent health professionals. The Arvada campus provides Jefferson County with an educational training center that supports a collaborative learning environment, dedicated to the future health and wellness of Jefferson County and the surrounding areas.
