Over the past several months, MOA has continued to add team members. We are excited to welcome Stephan Umierski as an Architectural Designer, Melissa Knesal as Project Architect, Tina Kivalu as Senior Interior Designer, Julie Craig as Administrative Assistant, and Mary Milford as Project Architect.
Stephan Umierski joins MOA as an Architectural Designer with four years of experience. He has worked on commercial, higher education, and healthcare projects. Stephan graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a Minor in Planning. As a student, he founded the University’s chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS).
Melissa Knesal joins MOA as a Project Architect with eight years of experience on PK-12 education and commercial projects as well as special expertise in the design of exterior envelope assemblies. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Mississippi State University. She is a Registered Architect and a LEED Accredited Professional.
Tina Kivalu joins MOA as a Senior Interior Designer with over a decade of experience working for clients in the commercial sector, with a focus on residential and hospitality design. Tina graduated from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design with a Specialization in Green Design, and an Associate degree in Fine Art from Sheridan College. She is a certified NCIDQ Interior Designer and a LEED Accredited Professional. Tina currently serves as an NCIDQ Ambassador on behalf of CIDQ (Council for Interior Design Qualification) and volunteers as a current board member for the local IIDA RMC chapter.
Julie Craig joins MOA as an Administrative Assistant with several years of experience with a background in hospitality administration and guest services. She is a graduate of the California State University-Sacramento with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Photography degree.
Mary Milford joins MOA as a Project Architect with four years of experience, working across a range of project types. A Registered Architect, she holds a Master in Architecture from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor in Science, Architecture, with a Minor in Sustainability from the University of Michigan.

MOA is also excited to announce that Paul Gibson has been named Senior Associate and that Drew Olsen and Kaye Mullaney have been named Associates.
Paul Gibson, AIA, has been named a Senior Associate. Since joining MOA in 2016, Paul has served as a Project Manager on several major projects, including the national award-winning renovation of the Woodward Drake Campus in Fort Collins. Paul is a Registered Architect and an active member of the AIA.
Drew Olsen, AIA, has been named an Associate. Since joining the firm in 2016, Drew has served in key roles on major PK-12 Education projects, including the Deer Trail PK-12 School and the East & Centennial High Schools in Pueblo. He serves as a key technical advisor in the firm as leader of the BIM Committee. Drew is a Registered Architect and a LEED Green Associate.
Kaye Mullaney, AIA, has been named an Associate. Since joining the firm in 2020, Kaye has served as a Project Manager within the firm’s growing Healthcare sector team. Kaye is a Registered Architect and a LEED Accredited Professional.
