UNIVERSITY PHYSICIANS, INC. HEADQUARTERS II

The University Physicians, Inc. (UPI) corporate headquarters includes a six-story office building and a four-tier parking structure.

When the VA took over the original UPI building, UPI approached their original design team (MOA) to develop their new facility. UPI’s new headquarters was designed to include two stories of speculative medical office space as well as housing UPI’s corporate offices. The development includes a six-story medical office building and a four-tier parking structure. Located within the Fitzsimons Innovation Campus, the building has amenities including a south-oriented “pocket park” adjacent to the employee break area, entry arcades that provide covered pedestrian circulation from the parking structure, and an access to the nearby light-rail line. UPI is a non-profit corporation that handles administrative and billing matters for the physicians of both the University of Colorado Hospital and The Children’s Hospital. The UPI building was awarded LEED Gold certification.
