PROJECT MANAGER

Qualifications

  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Architecture
  • Licensed Architect
  • Minimum 10-15 years’ overall experience (minimum 3 years as a project manager) in commercial architecture design, construction documents, and construction administration.
  • Working knowledge in Revit a plus

Key Responsibilities

  • THE responsible party for the performance and success of both the project and the project team.
  • will lead and manage people and the process for multiple –or single large or complicated projects from design through construction, however will remain flexible and willing to accept any assignment required as work flow may require.
  • oversees the assigned staff and consultants – organizes, directs and coordinates daily/ weekly project team assignments to meet schedule, quality and content expectations.
  • is an effective leader, a great communicator, a positive influence to the project team, fosters a collaborative team environment, gets the best from people, drives great team performance
  • develops a project management plan and has a demonstrated and repeated history of leading teams and projects to success
  • Quality and content of the documents. Implement and enforce quality assurance procedures, utilize tools and resources available at the start of a project, and provide active on-going quality control review of the team’s (internal and consultants) work and progress.
  • may assist or lead in developing scope of work and schedule definition for proposals, create RFP for consultant proposals and review submittals for conformance, develop staffing models for fee development, and interview preparation and participation

Expectations

The successful candidate will:

  • have extensive experience and knowledge in all aspects of the delivery of architecture: people and process management, schedule and budget adherence, quality assurance and quality control, jurisdictional authority approval process, and sustainable best practices.
  • have strong experience and knowledge in commercial construction means, materials and methodologies, building detailing, building codes, specifications, and is knowledgeable in mechanical, electrical and other building systems.
  • have demonstrated experience in construction administration
  • is aligned with the vision, mission, values and beliefs of MOA
  • is a great representative of MOA to our staff, clients, consultants, contractors and other industry partners
  • represents the firm as a knowledge leader and expert
  • be a contributor, not a bystander, to great project team success. Willing to take the lead or assist others in the trenches as the project may require helping insure success. Provides support to the team, and advocates for the team in terms of project resource allocation, schedule, technology, client relations, and other needs
  • have exceptional organizational, management, administrative and strategic planning skills
  • is passionate about continuous improvement, learning and professional development. Eager to learn and has ability to teach, coach and advance the skills and experience of other teammates
  • will travel throughout Wyoming for project assignment responsibilities
