HEALTHCARE PROJECT ARCHITECT

MOA ARCHITECTURE is looking to strengthen our ability to deliver outstanding healthcare design by adding a motivated Healthcare Architect with proven experience. The ideal candidate has a passion and commitment to the practice of architecture for healthcare facilities and understands the important part we play in successful outcomes for all constituents. The Healthcare Project Architect is an important team member focused on the design, medical planning and technical execution for new construction, expansion and renovation of healthcare facilities.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited university
  • Licensed Architect
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience (with 5 specifically related to healthcare) in delivering healthcare architecture for acute and ambulatory care, diagnostic facilities (labs, imaging, testing), treatment and/or medical office.
  • EDAC Certification (or willing to become so)
  • Experience with Lean planning principals, Lean Certification a plus
  • LEED or WELL Accredited Professional a plus

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Has demonstrated experience in interior renovations, expansions and/or ground-up healthcare projects
  • Has experience leading or participating, and documenting client user group meetings, and programming
  • Can develop a comprehensive understanding of a client’s program, requirements, standards and policies for incorporation into the design solution and documents
  • Has experience and knowledge with commercial healthcare construction means and methods, building materials, and systems and technologies
  • Has experience with the process of jurisdictional authority approvals: planning, building permit, local or state agency review, and other various agencies as may be required, including the Joint Commission, DFPC/CDPHE, and ICRA
  • Has experience and knowledge of detail application of ADA, building and life safety codes, standards, guidelines and other regulatory requirements for healthcare facilities
  • Has demonstrated technical proficiency in all phases of architectural delivery: design, production, specification coordination, construction phase services, and coordination with mechanical, electrical and life safety systems disciplines
  • Exhibits strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail
  • Is proficient in Revit, AutoCAD (a plus), and Bluebeam. SketchUp or other design/rendering software a plus.
  • Can work independently with minimal oversight, or work as a collaborating team member providing guidance and oversight to other team members.
  • Has strong organizational, communication, time management, and relationship management skills. Capable of managing multiple projects/tasks and competing deadlines
  • Is willing to listen, learn, and work well with others
  • Is efficient with quality (speed and accuracy) – is a highly flexible and capable “doer” – gets things done, on time, and gets it done right (checks their own work)
  • Can be a great representative of MOA to our staff, clients, consultants, contractors and other industry partners
  • Is mature, credible, trustworthy, likable, and comfortable in dealing with staff and others in the industry

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary or secondary MOA representative for a client
  • Space and functional programming
  • Existing facility evaluations, code compliance studies
  • Develop design solutions, present solutions and options
  • Produce and coordinate SD, DD and CD documentation
  • Manage bidding and construction phase services
  • May be production lead on some projects, or management lead on other projects
  • Seek new knowledge regarding the process, technology, and trends of modern healthcare delivery
  • Help grow the healthcare market sector, by strengthening existing and building new relationships with healthcare clients
  • May travel throughout the region (Wyoming and adjacent states) for project assignment responsibilities

MARKETING COORDINATOR

Since our inception 37 years ago, MOA ARCHITECTURE has grown to a diverse and sustainable practice serving the Rocky Mountain West and beyond. We seek a full time Marketing Coordinator in our Denver office to join our Marketing and Business Development team, implementing the firm’s sustainable growth strategies across our market sector focus of education, commercial, healthcare, and science + technology studios.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism or related field
  • Minimum 1-year experience producing proposals and marketing/sales literature in the A/E/C industry
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) 
  • Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • CRM database experience (Deltek Vision a plus)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains firm’s branding and identity guidelines in all work product
  • Works with the Marketing and Business Development team to facilitate the proposal production process
  • Coordinates the production of RFQ/P submittals with internal and subconsultant team: develops strategic approach with proposal team; leads execution of proposal, including schedule, content, layout and quality review; creates graphics to illustrate important themes; copy-edits/writes compelling content; pulls relevant/accurate statistics from resource libraries; tracks addenda and ensures submission is compliant with RFQ/P; prints, packages and ensures timely delivery
  • Participates in the interview prep process and supports the development of presentations
  • Interacts with project managers to obtain “on the boards” and close-out project information for updates and housekeeping
  • Produces marketing collateral and promotional items for business development efforts, conferences/trade shows and events as-needed
  • Helps generate content and design of advertisements, award submittals, website, PR and social media
  • Assists with marketing campaigns, event planning and client/community giving
  • Maintains CRM platform: performs data entry; updates resumes, cut-sheets, Open Asset and marketing drive with these project attributes
  • Assists with marketing research, strategic planning process and budgeting as-needed
  • Local travel (i.e., proposal delivery, attend pre-submittal meetings etc.)
