INTERIOR DESIGNER

MOA ARCHITECTURE is looking to grow and strengthen our team by adding a talented Interior Designer with 1-3 years’ experience to our Denver studio to work in close collaboration with our team of interior designers and architects in a variety of markets including commercial, education, science + technology, and health care.

We are looking for a creative, technology savvy team player who is a talented designer, detail oriented, eager to learn and contribute, and who shares our commitment to design excellence, sustainability and social responsibility. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Interior Design degree from a CIDA accredited program
  • 1-3 years’ experience in commercial, institutional interior design
  • Familiar with all phases of the design and delivery process including programming, space planning, interior architecture detailing, construction documents, and construction phase services
  • Proficient in Revit
  • Proficient in 3D modeling, rendering and graphics (SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, BIM 360 Design, Vray, Enscape or other visualization software)
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience assisting interior designers in the selection of finishes, fabrics, lighting, furniture, etc.
  • LEED or WELL Accreditation a plus

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborative member of a design team, developing innovative interior design solutions
  • Participate with building surveys and documentation, preparation of architectural base plans
  • Research and assist in the selection of finishes, fixtures, color schemes, fabrics and furnishing.
  • Prepare material boards, design renderings and presentations.
  • Works with design team to develop design concepts, furniture plans, finish legends and any other necessary design concepts from early programming phase to construction administration
  • Collaborate in the production of construction documents and develop casework drawings, floor plans, floor finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and other detailed drawings. Correct and update drawings
  • Assist with FF&E systems package, free standing furniture and artwork selection and specifications
  • Assist in construction phase services (product and submittal review, clarification drawings, site observations)
  • Maintain interior materials library (coordinate vendor updates, ensure library is clean and organized, assist with sample orders)
  • Develop and maintain positive client, consultant, contractor and vendor relationships

 

INTERIOR DESIGN INTERNSHIP

MOA ARCHITECTURE has a fantastic Interior Design Internship opportunity in our Denver studio to gain valuable experience working with our team of interior designers in a variety of tasks and market types including commercial, education and health care environments. It is our intent that this Internship opportunity provides and challenges students with practical knowledge in concert with your educational experience, and further stimulates your passion and interest in a career in interior design.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Enrolled in a 4-year CIDA accredited Interior Design program
  • Experience in Revit
  • Experience in 3D modeling, rendering and graphics (SketchUp, Photoshop, In Design, BIM 360 Design, Enscape or other visualization software)
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Available for approximately 24 hours/week (40 hours/week during summer)

  • Support teams in the production of construction documents.

  • Assist in the maintenance of the interior materials library (coordinate vendor updates, ensure library is clean and organized, assist with sample orders).
  • Educational sessions and mentorship opportunities that include product supplier presentations, project tours, vendors visit, project experience and networking
