SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

MOA ARCHITECTURE is looking to strengthen our ability to deliver outstanding design services by adding a motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager. The Senior Project Manager will lead and manage multiple smaller, or large, or the most complex and challenging project(s), however will remain flexible and willing to accept any assignment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be the primary MOA contact and representative for a client
  • Provide overall project management responsibility through all phases of project delivery including client and project team management, entitlement approval process, documentation content and quality, project scheduling, fee management, design to construction budget management, and all Construction Phase management responsibilities
  • Oversee the assigned staff and consultants – organize, direct and coordinate daily/ weekly and project team assignments. Drive great team performance
  • Be an effective leader, a positive influence to the project team, foster a collaborative team environment
  • Provide support to the team, and advocates for the team in terms of resource allocation, schedule, technology, client relations, and other needs
  • Provide quality assurance oversight as an ongoing process during all phases of their projects, and will schedule and participate in quality control review efforts at all significant project milestones. May participate in quality control review of projects from other project managers
  • Assist or lead in developing scope of work and schedule definition for proposals, prepare RFP for consultant proposals, review consultant proposals for appropriate scope, develop staffing model for fee development, and participate in interview preparation

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

The ideal candidate will have/be the following:

  • Minimum 12 years’ experience (with 5 years minimum as a project manager). Preference for experience in K-12 education architecture. Experience in other MOA market sectors a plus (commercial, science + technology, higher ed or healthcare)
  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited university
  • Licensed Architect
  • LEED accreditation a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in interior renovations, expansions and/or new construction
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of a client’s program requirements, standards and policies for incorporation into the design solution and documentation
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in all aspects of the delivery of commercial architecture: client management; process management; people management; internal project budgets; construction means and methods; building materials, systems and technologies; sustainable design best practices; construction administration; and consultant coordination
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of detail application of ADA, building and life safety codes, standards, guidelines and other regulatory requirements. Experience with the process of jurisdictional authority approvals: planning, building permit, local or state agency review, and other various agencies as may be required
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in all phases of architectural delivery including building detailing and writing or coordinating specifications
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail
  • Experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite. Revit Architecture experience a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, time, and relationship management skills. Capable of managing multiple projects/tasks and competing deadlines

HEALTHCARE PROJECT ARCHITECT

MOA ARCHITECTURE is looking to strengthen our ability to deliver outstanding healthcare design by adding a motivated Healthcare Architect with proven experience. The ideal candidate has a passion and commitment to the practice of architecture for healthcare facilities, and understands the important part we play in successful outcomes for all constituents.

 The Healthcare Project Architect is an important team member focused on the design, medical planning and technical execution for new construction, expansion and renovation of healthcare facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary or secondary MOA representative for a client
  • Space and functional programming
  • Existing facility evaluations, code compliance studies
  • Develop design solutions, present solutions and options
  • Produce and coordinate SD, DD and CD documentation
  • Manage bidding and construction phase services
  • May be production/management lead on some projects, or management lead on other projects
  • Seek new knowledge regarding the process, technology, and trends of modern healthcare delivery.
  • Help grow the healthcare market sector, by strengthening existing and building new relationships with healthcare clients

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

The ideal candidate should have/be the following:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience (with 5 specifically related to healthcare) in delivering healthcare architecture for acute and ambulatory care, diagnostic facilities (labs, imaging, testing), treatment and/or medical office.
  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Architecture from an NAAB accredited university
  • Licensed Architect
  • EDAC Certification a plus.
  • Experience with Lean planning principals, Lean Certification a plus
  • LEED accreditation a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in interior renovations, expansions and/or ground-up healthcare projects
  • Experience leading or participating, and documenting client user group meetings
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of a client’s program requirements, standards and policies for incorporation into the design solution and documents
  • Experience preparing all stages of design documentation, performing construction administration, and consultant coordination
  • Experience and knowledge with commercial healthcare construction means and methods, building materials, and systems and technologies
  • Experience with the process of jurisdictional authority approvals: planning, building permit, local or state agency review, and other various agencies as may be required, including the Joint Commission, DFPC/CDPHE, and ICRA
  • Experience and knowledge of detail application of ADA, building and life safety codes, standards, guidelines and other regulatory requirements for healthcare facilities
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in all phases of architectural delivery: design, production, specification coordination, construction administration and coordination with mechanical, electrical and life safety systems disciplines
  • Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Revit Architecture, AutoCAD (a plus), and Bluebeam. SketchUp or other design/rendering software a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, or work as a collaborating team member providing guidance and oversight to other team members.

MARKETING COORDINATOR

Since our inception 37 years ago, MOA has grown to a sustainable and diverse practice of 40 architects and interior designers. We seek a full time Marketing Coordinator to join our Denver office.

The Marketing Coordinator is integral to our local and regional team. This professional provides strategic support to our Marketing and Business Development team, implementing the firm’s sustainable growth strategies across our market sector focus of education, commercial, healthcare, and science + technology studios. The candidate possesses a minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the A/E/C industry developing proposals and other marketing efforts.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience producing proposals and marketing/sales literature in the A/E/C industry
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) applications
  • Experienced with CRM database (Deltek Vision a plus)
  • Possesses strong writing skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains firm’s branding and identity guidelines
  • Works with the Marketing and Business Development team to facilitate the proposal process
  • Coordinates the production of RFQ/P submittals with internal and subconsultant team: develops strategic approach with proposal team; leads execution of proposal, including schedule, content, layout and quality review; creates graphics to illustrate important themes; copy-edits/writes compelling content; pulls relevant/accurate statistics from resource libraries; tracks addenda and ensures submission is compliant with RFQ/P; prints, packages and ensures timely delivery
  • Participates in the interview process and supports the development of presentations
  • Interacts with project managers to obtain “on the boards” and close-out project information for updates and housekeeping
  • Produces marketing collateral and promotional items for business development efforts, conferences/trade shows and events as-needed
  • Helps generate content and design of advertisements, award submittals, website, PR and social media
  • Assists with marketing campaigns, event planning and client/community giving
  • Maintains CRM platform: performs data entry; updates resumes, cut-sheets, Open Asset and marketing drive with these project attributes
  • Assists with marketing research, strategic planning process and budgeting as-needed
