Bioscience 2 Building
Size: 112,000 sf
Developed as a collaboration between the University of Colorado Denver (UCD) and the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority (FRA), the Bioscience 2 office building is a speculative development offering an unrivaled range of opportunity to life sciences research and development companies of all sizes, from small start-ups to established industry leaders.
Bioscience 2 is a design/build project completed with Saunders Construction. Working together, our team provided an efficient design process and construction methodologies to reduce time to market and finance carry costs for the developer. The building is a 112,000-sf, four-story office, medical research laboratory and academic facility located within the Science + Technology Park at the University of Colorado’s Anschutz Medical Campus. The building is LEED Gold certified.
Building tenants include the University of Colorado Department of Bioengineering, and multiple private biotechnology companies working in collaboration with the University including ClinImmune Labs, Precision Biopsy, and iC42 Clinical Research and Development. This 21st Century office/research building is intended to be a blend of educational and private laboratories, which encourage collaboration and cross pollination within the bioscience and biotechnology community. The building is expected to be fully leased a year ahead of schedule.
The project included full design and build out of the core/shell and interiors with a variety of program spaces including office space, conference rooms, support areas, classrooms, study rooms and teaching laboratories.
