The Jeddah United Towers will become a strong icon along the horizon of Jeddah. The shape of the 32 and 28 story office towers was inspired by images of Arabic Men engaged in conversation. Their geometries create gestures of an engaging dialog as they walk towards the Red Sea. Each tower has a stone veneered backbone shielding the building from eastern winborne desert sands. The lower levels are wrapped in a flowing glass cloak, or Saudi bisht. The bisht stops short of the ground, giving access to the two-story retail/recreation pedestal that sits atop 3,000 underground parking spaces.
